In some states in the United States, school days and school years are being extended and some people do not agree with the idea. I personally believe that we should extend our school year so that our current and future youth will be able to compete with those in nations such as Japan and Korea, whose educational systems excel.

Some might say that our educational system is just fine and to extend the school year would be a waste of money, but our future and youth are the ultimate investment.

I do understand that if the school year is extended it is going to be awkward at first. But we will soon get used to it.
