LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — Five video gambling machines were confiscated Thursday from a bar on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department seized the machines from Rags to Riches bar, according to a sheriff’s report. On Friday morning, a Lexington County magistrate ruled that the five machines violated S.C.’s gambling laws.
The five machines included two Jungle King video gambling machines, one Monkey Land machine, one Crazy Bug machine and one Ticket Master machine. Two were cabinet-style and three were table top machines, the sheriff’s report said. Investigators also seized $1,027.
Earlier this week, the sheriff’s department and the State Law Enforcement Division seized eight machines from stores and bars in the county. A magistrate also ruled those machines were illegal.
The sheriff’s department asks anyone with information on illegal video gambling devices to call (803) 785-8230 or S.C. Crimestoppers 1-888-274-6373.
