The following will be closed in observance of Christmas.

GOVERNMENT

• Federal offices will be closed Tuesday.

• Fort Jackson offices will be closed Tuesday. Some offices will close Monday for a training holiday.

• State government offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

• Richland County offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Lexington County offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

• Kershaw County offices will close at noon Monday. Offices will be closed Tuesday.

Columbia city offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. No solid waste or recyclables will be picked up Tuesday; Tuesday’s route will be picked up Wednesday.

• Forest Acres city offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Lexington town offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Solid waste normally collected Tuesday will be collected Wednesday.

West Columbia City Hall and offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

• Cayce city offices and town hall will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Irmo town offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday. Solid waste normally collected Tuesday will be collected Wednesday.

• Batesburg-Leesville offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

Springdale town offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday. No sanitation services will be collected on Monday and Tuesday; no recycling on Wednesday; Monday’s sanitation route will be collected Dec. 27; and Tuesday’s sanitation route will be collected Dec. 28.

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

SERVICES/BANKS

• Post offices will be closed Tuesday.

Many banks and credit unions will be closed Tuesday. Check with your branch to verify.

• SCE&G will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Mid-Carolina Electric will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Palmetto Utilities will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

• Lexington’s Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission offices will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

• There will be no Central Midlands RTA bus service Tuesday.

• Richland County Recreation Commission offices, recreation and community centers will be closed Monday-Wednesday. LinRick golf course will be closed Tuesday.

• The South Carolina Education Lottery offices and claims center will be closed Monday-Wednesday.

LIBRARIES/MUSEUMS/

ZOO

• Richland Library, including the main library and all branch locations, will be closed Sunday-Tuesday.

• Lexington County Public Library System, including all branch locations, will be closed Saturday-Wednesday.

• Kershaw County Library will be closed Sunday-Wednesday.

• Columbia Museum of Art will be closed Tuesday.

• The State Museum will be closed Tuesday.

• The S.C. Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will be closed Tuesday.

• The S.C. Military Museum on National Guard Road will be closed Sunday-Wednesday.

• Historic Columbia Foundation houses will be closed Tuesday.

• EdVenture will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

• Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will be closed Tuesday. The Lights Before Christmas will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

THE STATE
