Morgan Powell and Matthew Lawson try a sample of an apple at Jack Drummond's "Afresh!" fruit stand at Soda City, Columbia's all-local farmers market that officially opened Saturday on Main Street, moving from its Whaley Street location. Morgan and Lawson liked the new location and hoped that even more vendors will participate. They biked from their Earlewood neighborhood. The market will take place from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday on the 1500 block of Main Street, with dozens of local vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products and arts and crafts.
