Investigators with the Darlington police, SLED and Darlington County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of a man in the 100 Block of Coker Street on Christmas Eve.

Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee identified the victim as Antwain Demetrious Jones, 38. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his death was ruled a homicide, Hardee said through a release issued Tuesday.

Jones’ body is set for an autopsy Wednesday to determine the cause of death, Hardee wrote in the release.
