Authorities searching for Kimberly Parrish are now focusing on Orangeburg County, the sheriff there said.
The 40-year-old missing Lexington County woman was last seen on Friday at the Helping Hands Caregivers, 9444 Two Notch Road in Richland County, where she was picking up a paycheck.
Richland County deputies have followed leads to Orangeburg, and Parrishs Chevrolet Malibu was discovered in the town of North, officials said Wednesday. Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Parrish had an acquaintance in the area and that investigators have developed a person of interest.
Earlier in the week, Lott said it was out of character for Parrish, who has two young children, to be out of touch for so long from her family.
Parrish is described as white, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (800) CRIME-SC, the Richland County Sheriffs Department at (803) 576-3000 or the Orangeburg County Sheriffs Office at (803) 534-3550.
