Published: December 27, 2012

Authorities are looking for a man with Columbia connections in connection with a Christmas Eve killing in Darlington.

The Darlington Police Department says Michael Rashawn Jackson, 25, is being sought on charges of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and armed robbery. Jackson is considered to be armed and dangerous, according to the department, and may be in the Columbia area with family.

Sgt. Kim Nelson said investigators believe the suspect and several others rushed into a home about 8 p.m. Monday intending to rob 38-year-old Antwain Jones. His body was found on the street.

Two other men also are being sought on the same charges in the incident: Jason Jones, 31, and Jonathan Wesley McCall, both of the Darlington area. They have been seen driving a brown or tan Dodge Durango.
