Thief snatches $120,000 in jewelry from Columbia Kmart

A thief has stolen $120,000 in jewelry and three video game systems from the Two Notch Road Kmart.

The suspect, who was caught on surveillance video, first took Wii systems and an Xbox from the store between 11:30 p.m. and midnight on Dec. 21, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department reported. He returned a few moments later and stole a case that contained jewelry from behind a counter.

Anyone with information about the shoplifting or who recognizes the suspect from surveillance video should call S.C. Crimestoppers at 1-888-274-6373.
