LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — A water line break Sunday means residents and businesses in part of the Chapin area need to boil their tap water for at least a minute prior to drinking and cooking with it.
Ice recently made also should be discarded.
Those steps are a precaution against bacterial contamination, authorities said.
The problem affects those along Amicks Ferry Road and in another area northwest of Old Lexington Highway and Sid Bickley Road, officials said.
Repairs are under way.
