IRMO, SC — Six apartments were damaged and several residents displaced by a fire Sunday at the Country Walk Apartments in the northwest corner of Columbia, authorities said.
No one was injured in a fire that occurred around 9 a.m., authorities said.
The blaze is estimated to cause $250,000 in damage, officials said. Its cause is unknown and under investigation.
It took firefighters from Irmo, Lexington County and Columbia 45 minutes to bring the fire under control at the complex in the 400 block of Foxfire Drive, located a few blocks south of Columbiana Centre mall.
The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced.
