Water customers northwest of the intersection of Old Lexington Highway and Sid Bickley Road, including Chapin, and the Amicks Ferry Road area in Lexington County no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking, according to the City of Columbia Water Works Department.
The advisory was lifted following an intense flushing of the distribution system and testing of samples by the city.
Anyone having questions about the situation can call the waterworks at 733-8336 or 781-2181.
