RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Citizens doing business at the Richland County Administration Building and health department no longer have to pay for parking.
Starting Wednesday, the county instituted a three-month pilot project to provide free parking at 2020 Hampton St.
Free meters are covered with red bags and are located in the county’s surface parking lot. Drivers still must feed city-owned parking meters on the streets encircling the administration building.
