Deputies: Man tried to rob St. Andrews Chuck-E-Cheese’s

Published: January 4, 2013

— Richland County deputies are looking for a man who attempted to rob a Chuck-E-Cheese’s in the St. Andrews area.

The man came into the restaurant about 9:30 p.m. Thursday and pulled out a gun, according to Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Curtis Wilson.

Then, Wilson said, he grabbed an employee and pulled him into the kitchen. Startled by the ruckus, all of the workers in the kitchen fled the area.

After that, the man left the business without taking any cash or harming anyone inside, Wilson said.

Deputies are looking for the suspect and questioning witnesses, Wilson said.
