Eugene Robinson’s Dec. 19 column and an editorial cartoon in The State regarding the Sandy Hook tragedy were partially correct. We definitely have issues with mental health, there is too much violence on TV, movies and video games, and these incidents are statistically insignificant.
What wasn’t mentioned was the effect of media blitz on these individuals causing these heinous crimes. Maybe a news reporter should be standing by the policeman in the cartoon. How about what the majority of the American people feel on the issue of disarming our citizens?
