LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — Lexington County residents will receive vehicle tax receipts together with license plate renewals starting Thursday.
The move ends separate mailings from state and county offices, a change that county treasurer Jim Eckstrom said saves about $46,000 yearly.
It’s part of a series of steps he said he is taking to improve efficiency.
“Even if a cost-saving move seems like it’s just a drop in the bucket, a lot of little drops can produce real savings,” he said.
