LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — A Gaston area man faces charges in connection with the Dec. 24 robbery of a Springdale hotel, police said.
Michael Brown, 31, was arrested Friday and charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to a news release.
The suspect entered the lobby with a pistol around 1:15 p.m. Christmas Eve and demanded money, the release said. He fled with an undisclosed amount.
Anonymous tips to the CrimeStoppers hotline led to the arrest, police chief Keven Cornett said.
Brown turned himself in to Springdale police Friday.
