COLUMBIA, SC — Richland County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who shot two people in a River Drive adult entertainment nightclub early Saturday morning. It is the second shooting this week at Club Crush, which bills itself as a “gentlemen’s club.”
At about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, a fight broke out among 20 to 30 people, said sheriff’s department spokesman Deputy Curtis Wilson. After club security ejected everyone involved, one man re-entered the club with a handgun and shot two people in the lower body, he said.
Wilson described the suspect as a black male with a “low fade haircut” wearing a gray shirt and dark jeans. The victims are a black male age 29 and a black female age 25.
The victims were taken to a hospital with what Wilson described as non-life threatening injuries.
Less than a week ago, a man wearing a black sweatshirt fired multiple shots at two women leaving the club around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The man’s shots only hit their vehicle and other cars in the area, Wilson said.
“The club hasn’t been on our radar until recently,” he said. “But it’s developing into a trouble spot.”
Detectives are investigating both incidents, but have made no arrests.
