— A Lexington man accused of flashing his genitals at people in a Waffle House has been charged with disorderly conduct.

Steve Fleming, 59, was arrested Jan 4 after an employee at the Augusta Highway Waffle House accused him of exposing himself to employees in customers there after he was kicked out of the restaurant, according to a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department report.

The employee told deputies that before the incident, Fleming was sitting at the counter and cursing. After Fleming exposed himself, the employee said he went outside to tell him that police were on the way. Then, the employee said, the man tried to fight him.

When deputies talked to Fleming, the man smelled like alcohol, was unsteady on his feet and slurred his speech. He said that he had not exposed himself, but officers observed the zipper to his pants were down.

He was booked and released from the Lexington County Detention Center.
