Columbia, SC — In pushing for an apology for the records hacking incident at the Department of Revenue, Democratic Sen. Vincent Sheheen is pointing in the wrong direction if he thinks that Democrats would do a better job in handling problems.
Most of the voters have now been exposed to how Democrats in Richland County handled the election fiasco when voters had to stand in line for as long as six hours to vote. And the person in charge, Lillian McBride, remained in her position as director for more than two months after the election because Democrats protected her. Now she is being protected in making certain that she keeps a high-paying position in the same agency.
If that is the way that Democrats handle problems, I don’t want them to be in charge of anything, and I certainly don’t believe that Democrat Sheheen would do a better job than our present governor, Nikki Haley. If he runs again, he will be defeated for the same reasons that he was defeated in the last governor’s race.
