COLUMBIA, SC — A Columbia 51-year-old accused of driving drunk with three 13-year-old girls in his car Tuesday night has been arrested.
Don Milton Morris Jr. is charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence and speeding. He was arrested after failing a series of sobriety tests during a traffic stop on I-126 near Colonial Life Boulevard.
When the stopping officer talked to Morris, his speech was slurred, according to an incident report, and his eyes were red. Morris told the officer that he had a few beers a couple of hours before picking his daughter and friends up from a gymnastics studio, but hadn’t had anything to drink since.
Morris’ blood-alcohol level was determined to be .16 percent after a breathalyzer test, according to the report.
