Columbia dentist Staci Gaffos has been elected president of the American Academy of Dental History. Gaffos is a past state chairman of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honorary dental organization named after the Father of Modern Dentistry. He also was inducted as a fellow into the American College of Dentistry.
