Richland County, SC — Richland County must be a wonderful place to live; I should consider moving there. Where else can a civil servant be hired by an incompetent legislative delegation, for a job for which she has no qualifications, without competition or consideration for others who may have more experience or qualifications? And at a salary that insults most of her peers, who have years of said experience?
Where else can one person so nearly ruin an entire county’s election and have that situation not rectified immediately by leave without pay or termination by a board of commissioners who can’t stomach the obvious?
Instead, the subject of Lillian McBride’s employment centered around her return to basically her old job but at a higher salary than she received when in the old position.
Is there more here than meets the eye? Is McBride blackmailing someone? Is she related by blood or marriage to someone? Come on. Someone, anyone, please stop the insanity.
If I were king for a day, I’d fire all parties involved, from the legislative delegation down.
