Keenan hosts North Central on Tuesday as the Region 3-2A basketball campaign enters the second half.
Both Raider squads emerged from the first half of the conference season with 5-0 record and one-game leads over Fairfield Central. The rematch with the Griffins is set for Jan. 29 in Winnsboro.
The third-ranked Raiders (14-5) have won five in a row and eight of their last nine games. Keenan is averaging 71.6 points a game in region play, while allowing a paltry defensive average of 43.6 points.
Marcus Stroman (18.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 6.4 apg, 2.9 spg), Eric Hopkins (14.6 ppg) and Charles Eddie Smith (9.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg) are the Raider leaders.
The eighth-ranked Keenan girls (9-6) have also righted the ship in region play averaging 59 points a game, while surrendering just 28.7.
Senior Kierra Robinson (22.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 4.6 apg, 6.6 spg) is the veteran leader of a young team that is starting to put it together. Freshman Bria Jackson (9.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg) and sophomore Dashelle Robinson (6.3 ppg, 2.3 apg) are the rising standouts.
