COLUMBIA, SC — Downtown traffic in Columbia will be disrupted Thursday morning as city officials tear down the Main Street Ice Rink.

Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., the 1100 block of Hampton Street between Main and Assembly streets will be most heavily affected, city officials said. The westbound lanes will be closed, and the eastbound lanes closed midblock to Main Street while the chiller units and pump are removed from the site.
