Dutch Fork goes for its 30th straight win on Friday when it travels to face South Aiken in the first game of the second half of the Region 5-4A girls basketball campaign.

The top-ranked Silver Foxes have won 19 in a row this season after going on a 10-0 surge at the end of the 2011-12 season that included an easy, 61-29 win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson in the Class 4A state championship game.

Alaina Coates, who was recently nominated for consideration to play in the annul McDonald’s All-American Games in Chicago, continues to be the driving force for the Foxes. The 6-foot-5 center is averaging 18.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game.

Junior Sydney Shull (11.6 ppg, 3.4 apg, 2.7 spg), sophomore Morgan Williams (7.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg), sophomore Zhane Green (5.8 ppg) and senior Rose Robinson (5.2 ppg, 3.4 apg, 2.3 spg) are the top contributors behind Coates.
