Lexington ranked no. 1 in class 4A
The Lexington High baseball team is ranked No. 1 in the 2013 preseason South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association (SCBCA) 4A poll.
Coach Brian Hucks, who begins his second season at Lexington, guided the Wildcats to a 27-4 record last spring, the Region 5-4A title with a 10-0 league mark and the finals of the Lower State playoffs.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the 4A coaches as the preseason No. 1,” said Hucks, who sports a 286-109 record over 13 seasons. “It is a testament to the quality of the players in our program. Ultimately, we recognize that the only poll that truly matters is the final poll.”
