COLUMBIA, SC — Shamona McFadden, 31, is charged with stabbing a cab driver and stealing his cab Jan. 23.
McFadden called for a cab around 3 a.m. at Doctor’s Circle on the 3600 block of Falling Springs Road, Columbia police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said. She allegedly pulled a knife and demanded money from the cabbie and stabbed him several times around the face when he didn’t comply, police said. She then is accused of stealing the driver’s cab.
Once MCFadden drove off the victim ran to a nearby house where the resident called 911. He was treated and released from a local hospital.
McFadden was being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Friday night.
