COLUMBIA, SC — Police in Columbia are investigating an armed robbery at a Broad River Road pharmacy Monday evening.

In the incident, a male suspect went into the Rite Aid pharmacy at 1501 Broad River Road, showed a gun and demanded several medicines, Columbia Police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said. Then he left the store.
