Columbia, SC — Many people know that Congress has an approval rating of only 13 percent. However, a new Public Policy poll shows that members of Congress now rate below cockroaches and colonoscopies. Furthermore, a recent cover story of The Week magazine referred to members of Congress as “Fools on the Hill.” Is anybody up there embarrassed? It sure doesn’t look like it.

Some members of Congress even believe that they have to destroy our nation’s economy in order to save it. Since many of them represent safe districts with no real opposition, they expect to be re-elected no matter what they do, or fail to do. Does anybody care? I hope enough people will do the right thing before it’s too late.
