LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — The South Congaree Police Department will hold a memorial service at 4 p.m. Monday for an eight-year department veteran, Enzo.

The 9-year-old German shepard, born in Holland and trained for police work, succumbed to cancer, the department announced Thursday.

The service will be held at Ebenezer Pentecostal Holiness Church, 501 Church St. in South Congaree. Pastor Gene Henderson and the South Congaree Police Department’s chaplain will officiate.

The public was urged to keep Enzo’s partner/handler Officer Roger Singleton and his family in their thoughts.
