Columbia, SC — The Jan. 20 Metro section proved my contention that Columbia is fast becoming a Third World city, with the headline: “Experience not a priority for top (city manager) job.”

Considering the appointment and job protection that the demonstrably incompetent former director of voter registration and elections in Richland County has gotten, this is deja vu all over again.
