Manuela Schafer pets Shaggy, the stray she tried to help for years, for the first time after her capture by California dog rescuer Eldad Hagar on Jan. 20 off Platts Spring Road in West Columbia. Schafer called Hagar to help Shaggy. The video was shot by USC webmaster Patty Hall, who helped with the rescue and adopted the dog.
