Columbia, SC — People are saying “it doesn’t matter” that Beyonce lip-synced the national anthem at the inauguration. Hillary Clinton asked “what does it matter now” in terms of what motivated killers of four Americans who died in Benghazi on her watch, and many accept that as enough.
Folks, it does matter. We should expect the truth and real, honest efforts not only from those serving in the public sector, but also from those to whom the public pays homage, whatever the field. Humans are not perfect, nor will they perform perfectly all the time. What is honored, respected and expected is doing the best one can under the circumstances.
We should not accept anything less.
