— Deputies in Richland County are looking for the men who robbed and beat a delivery man with a baseball bat near Broad River Road late Monday night.

The incident occurred about 11 p.m. outside an apartment in the 1600 block of Longcreek Drive, Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Curtis Wilson said. After the man delivered food to an apartment, he was accosted by two men. One of the men was armed with a baseball bat, and the other had a gun.

The suspects took the delivery man’s wallet, which contained $25 cash, Wilson said. Then, they hit the man with the bat and left.

Deputies are trying to determine the identity of the two suspects. If you know anything about the incident, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or www.sccrimestoppers.com
