Columbia, SC — The House’s vote to put forth a constitutional amendment to shorten the legislative sessions from five months to just three brings up an obvious question, at least to me: If these people are going to cut their work schedule by 40 percent, does that mean their salaries will get cut by the same amount? If not, then this proposal is basically a big, undeserved, pay raise.
