International PGA Tour players K.J Choi, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell and Rory Sabbatini have committed to play in the 45th annual RBC Heritage to be held April 15-21 at the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island.

The four will be among an expanded field of 144 shooting for the top prize of $1,044,000 from a purse of $5.8 million.

McDowell recently signed on as an RBC Ambassador and immediately told his fans via Twitter he would be attending the RBC Heritage. It will be his fourth time competing at Harbour Town. The Northern Ireland native won the U.S. Open Championship in 2010 and has six international victories since turning pro in 2002.

Choi has played Harbour Town twice, most recently in 2010. The South Korea native who now lives in Westlake, Texas, has won eight times on the PGA Tour and has earned more than $27 million. He has one top-10 finish this year after carding a first-round 65 at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Kaymer turned pro in 2005, but just joined the PGA Tour this year. This will be the first start at the RBC Heritage for the 28-year-old German, who has won twice in the states including his first major at the 2010 PGA Championship. He has 10 international victories.

Sabbatini is originally from Durban, South Africa, but after attending the University of Arizona, settled down in Fort Worth, Texas. He has competed at Harbour Town three times, tying for eighth place in 2009. He has won six times on the PGA Tour and has earned more than $25 million.

The RBC Heritage, the only PGA Tour event in South Carolina, has been played at Harbour Town since 1969.

The Heritage Classic Foundation, the general tournament sponsor, distributes the proceeds from the tournament to hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Since it was founded as a 501 (c)(3) in 1987, the Foundation has donated more than $23.5 million to people in need.

Tickets: Daily tickets and weeklong badges for this year's tournament are now on sale online at www.rbcheritage.com or by calling the tournament office at 843-671-2448.
