Columbia, SC — State workers are complaining about rising insurance premiums.

Insurance is not mandatory. It’s protection we choose to have — at our own expense.

My insurance premiums have increased for 2013. I wonder if the taxpayers are willing to pay for my increase? Each should bear his own. Why should I or anyone else pay for a state worker’s insurance premium increase?

Gov. Nikki Haley is correct. Support her.
