— Police responding to a shots-fired call early Saturday morning found blood but no victim, officials say.

The incident started around 3 a.m. Saturday with fighting in the parking lot of SidePockets, a night club on Hazelwood Road, Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Deputy Curtis Wilson said.

The fight continued to a nearby Kangaroo Express gas station, at 7800 Garners Ferry Road, where investigators were able to determine that multiple shots had been fired. Deputies also found a blood trail and a bloody shirt nearby but no victim, Wilson said.

Deputies are checking with area hospitals and continuing to investigate, Wilson said.

Anyone with information is asked to call (888) CRIME-SC.
