The final regular-season statewide basketball poll looks awfully similar to most of the year, at least in regards to the three area teams in the rankings.
The North Myrtle Beach girls again led the way, entering the state playoffs with the No. 4 spot in Class AAA. The Chiefs defeated Darlington Monday night to move on to Thursday's second-round home game against Hilton Head.
The North Myrtle Beach boys, who play at home tonight against Crestwood, remained at No. 9 in the Class AAA rankings despite dropping last week's regular-season finale at Myrtle Beach.

Lastly, the Carvers Bay boys dropped one spot in Class A to No. 8. The Bears, like the two above teams, also won their region and will have home-court advantage through the first three rounds of the playoffs. Carvers Bay tips off at 7 p.m. tonight against Latta.
