February 16, 2013

— A shooting at a Columbia nightclub early Saturday has left five wounded, police say.

Three men and two women were taken to an area hospital after they were shot outside the T&T Uptown Lounge, at 3003 Colonial Drive, Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday and may have been the result of a fight that started earlier at the club, Timmons said.

Witnesses saw shots fired from a car.

Two of the victims are in critical condition.

Officers are continuing to investigate and have asked that anyone with information about the incident call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-274-6373.
