One person was killed Saturday night when his car ran off the road and overturned in Kershaw County.
The accident occured as the driver was passing another vehicle on Springdale Road around 7:48 p.m.., LCpl Judd Jones of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. The driver was thrown from his car and killed after his 2004 Chevrolet ran off the right side of the road, into a ditch and overturned. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Jones said.
The driver, who has not been publically identified, was taken to a local hispital where he was declared dead.
