I have seen few miscarriages of justice more egregious than the Feb. 7 conviction of Sidney Myers for having a sex video on his phone of himself and his of-age girlfriend. Now the young man has a felony conviction and sex-offender status that will follow him the rest of his life.
It should be terribly frightening to anyone who cares about the justice system that a prosecutor could even be found who would actually pursue such a case.
Yes, Myers phoned in a bomb threat to a school and should rightly be held to account for that, but to pile on that sex-offender nonsense is an abomination.
