African-American History event “Called to Greatness: Past and Present,” 6-8 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 2003 Charleston Hwy., Cayce, The event, hosted by Busbee Creative Arts Academy, Davis Early Childhood for Technology and Taylor Elementary School, features singing, dancing, stepping, acting, artwork and the Bible Way Praise Dancers. Septima P. Clark Film Showcase and Panel Discussion, 6 p.m. at Ponder Fine Arts/Humanities Center Little Theater at Benedict College. The showcase is presented by the Department of Social Sciences and Criminal Justice and Historical Studies. Info: (803) 705-4596

Sunday

“We Shall Not be Moved,” a commemoration of student activism in Columbia and the 50th anniversary of Edwards v. South Carolina kicks off at 10:45 a.m.3 at Zion Baptist Church, 801 Washington St. with a church service. The reunion and roundtable discussion will be from 3-5 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
