RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — A man faces a murder charge in the death of his girlfriend in what deputies say was a domestic dispute early Monday morning at a Northeast Richland house.
Percy Williams, 31, was arrested in connection with the shooting of Tabatha Priester, 35, around 6 a.m. at a residence on Todd Branch Road, deputies said.
Priester was pronounced dead at the scene, coroner Gary Watts said. An autopsy conducted Monday showed she died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Deputies say Williams left the home after the shooting and called a friend for a ride. Investigators say the friend convinced him to turn himself in to deputies.
No other details were available early Monday afternoon.
The Richland County Sherriff’s Department is investigating.
