LUGOFF, SC — Kershaw County deputies are looking for an Australian woman they said disappeared after checking out of a Lugoff motel last month.

Arseli “Salley” Read, hasn’t been seen since Jan. 21. The 45-year-old flew into South Carolina and checked into the Ramada Limited on 542 SC 601 S. the day before, according to a Crimestoppers press release. She was supposed meet a man named Vick at the hotel and was scheduled to make the trip back home on Feb. 21.

But the person who reported her missing said she never came back.

Read is described as having black hair and blue eyes. She is about 5 feet tall and weighs about 145 pounds.
