Columbia, SC An argument over a woman led to a shooting Thursday afternoon at a Percival Road mobile home park.
A suspect is in custody and one person has been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Deputy Curtis Wilson, a Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
The shooting happened about 1:30 p.m. as a group of men were standing outside and drinking at a mobile home park on the 8500 block of Percival Road, Wilson said.
An argument started after one man started making comments about another man’s girlfriend. The man with the girlfriend was offended and went inside his home to get a shotgun. He came out and fired a shot but struck the wrong person, Wilson said.
The victim was shot in the buttocks.
The shooter fled but was captured a few minutes later by sheriff’s deputies, Wilson said.
