RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — A man was arrested on his birthday Wednesday in connection with a home break-in.
Darren Eaddy, 46, is charged with burglary, a Richland County Sheriff’s Department news release said.
According to reports, deputies responding to a burglary in progress in the 400 block of Summit Townes Way found a rear door with broken glass, then saw a suspect run down a hallway toward the front door. The suspect fled the residence on foot but was captured a short time later.
The victims were found hiding in the home’s attic unharmed, the release said, noting some of the items that belonged to the victims were found with the suspect.
Eaddy was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
