RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Columbia-Richland fire fighters discovered a burned body in the woods on the 3200 block of Screaming Eagle Road extension in Northeast Richland County. Coroner Gary Watt said the body was too badly burned for him to declare the gender until after an autopsy Friday.
Firefighters were called to the wooded area in Eastover around 1:45 p.m. Thursday for a wild fire, fire department spokesman Brick Lewis said. No other details were available Thursday evening.
