The Golden and Proud senior group at the Gadsden Community Center sponsored a Black History Celebration Thursday, for students from Gadsden Elementary and Hope Academy. Their mission was to let the students experience the heritage of their foreparents. There were displays of tools, household items, an outhouse, a smokehouse, and other lifestyle items.
