BOOK SIGNING: Matt and Ted Lee prepare recipes from their newest book “Charleston Kitchen” at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Charleston Cooks in the Cross Hill Market. They will sign copies of the book following the cooking class. From 2-3 p.m., the two will be signing copies at Barnes & Noble at Richland Mall. The duo will also sign copies of the book March 15 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Books-A-Million at the Village at Sandhill, and from 5:30-7 p.m. at Books on Broad, 944 Broad St., Camden.

BOOK CLUB: The Kershaw County Library’s Bethune branch book club meets Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., 206 South Main St. to discuss “Home” by Toni Morrison. New members are welcome. Call (843) 334-8420.

“LET’S TALK ABOUT IT: MODERN AMERICAN POETS”: The five-part moderated reading, video and discussion features five of the most influential American poets. This week’s installment features Robert Frost Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m., and the final discussion features William Carlos Williams on March 13 at the Kershaw County Public Library, Camden branch, 1304 Broad St., Camden. BOOK SALE: The Friends of the Kershaw County Library’s annual book sale will be open to friends members from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Burndale Shopping Center, Jefferson Davis Highway, Camden. The sale is open to the public Friday from noon-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.5 p.m. Call (803) 425-1508.

SPEAKER AT THE CENTER SERIES: Hosted by the South Carolina State Library’s Center for the Book, USC Press and Hub City Press, the series takes place during lunch and features a variety of authors. Discussions are from noon-1 p.m. at the South Carolina State Library, 1500 Senate St. Upcoming discussions include Eric Emerson, March 21; Susan Tekulve, April 18; Aida Rogers, Cindi Boiter, Ceille Baird Welch and Billy Deal, May 16; and Tom Polland and Phil Sawyer, June 20.
